Pokémon TCG restocks: how to get Elite Trainer Boxes and booster bundles at retail price
A collector's guide to Pokémon TCG restocks: which products sell out, how restocks work at different shops, and how to get instant alerts from any store worldwide.
Pokémon TCG has some of the most intense restocks of any product category. Popular sets sell out at launch, reprints are announced and then disappear, and store-exclusive products can be gone within minutes. Meanwhile, resale prices climb, and buying at the normal retail price takes some planning.
The products that sell out
Not every Pokémon product is hard to find. The ones that usually are:
- Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs) for special and anniversary sets, such as the 30th Celebration ETB, Prismatic Evolutions and 151.
- Booster bundles, like the 30th Celebration booster bundle, which are popular for opening.
- Booster displays, for example Phantasmal Flames, which collectors buy sealed.
- Premium collections and store exclusives, such as Pokémon Center ETBs.

How restocks happen
Different kinds of shops restock in different ways:
- The official Pokémon Center often releases stock in drops, sometimes with a queue.
- Large retailers and supermarkets add stock online when deliveries arrive, often early in the morning.
- Independent game shops may list new stock on their websites with little notice, and sometimes limit quantities per customer.
- Reprints of popular sets bring a fresh wave of stock, often weeks or months after launch.
Because these happen at different times, the more pages you watch, the more chances you get.
Set up alerts that work
- Find the product page at each shop you would buy from.
- Check it is the exact product: standard vs Pokémon Center edition, language and region.
- Paste each link into Every Hot Launch and choose back-in-stock alerts.
- For older sets still in stock but priced high, choose price drops and set a target near retail.
- Connect Telegram so alerts reach your phone instantly. See our Telegram guide.
Each alert is a one-off £5, shown in your local currency. One-off fee. No subscription. We accept product links from any store worldwide, including small independent card shops.
Check out quickly, and safely
- Have accounts at your shops with payment saved.
- Some shops limit how many you can buy. Respect the limits, or orders may be cancelled.
- Be careful with unknown websites offering sold-out products at retail price. If a shop looks unfamiliar, check its reviews and contact details before you pay.
Reseller prices
When a product sells out, resale listings appear at higher prices. Sometimes the premium is temporary and drops when a reprint arrives. A price-drop alert on a marketplace listing with a sensible target price is one way to wait it out. Our scalper guide has more tips.
Other card games
The same approach works for One Piece TCG booster boxes, Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering collector boosters, all of which see similar restock rushes.
Step by step: a collector's alert setup
- Make a list of the products you want, with the exact name and edition, such as standard or Pokémon Center ETB.
- Pick your shops: the official store, one or two large retailers and a couple of independent card shops.
- Find each product page and check the language and region.
- Paste each link and choose back-in-stock alerts. For older sets, use price drops with a target.
- Connect Telegram, so alerts arrive instantly. See our Telegram guide.
- Log in to each shop and save payment and delivery details.
Where to look
- The official Pokémon Center, for exclusive products and drops.
- Large toy and games retailers, which receive big allocations.
- Supermarkets and department stores, which sometimes list products online before stores.
- Independent card shops, which may have stock when the big names are sold out.
- Shops in other countries: you can paste links from any store worldwide. Check language, shipping and customs.
What to watch for
- Language versions. English, Japanese and other language products are different. Check before buying.
- Exclusive vs standard. Pokémon Center ETBs include extras that standard boxes do not.
- Bundle splits. Some shops sell individual packs taken from boxes. Check you are buying sealed products.
- Resealed products. Buy from reputable shops. Damaged or loose wrapping can be a warning sign.
- Pre-order delivery dates. Pre-orders may not ship until release. Check the date.
- Quantity limits. Shops may cancel orders that exceed limits.
Price-drop alerts for older sets
After a set's launch rush, prices often settle, and some shops discount older products when new sets arrive. If a box is in stock but priced above retail, set a price-drop alert with a target near the normal price. You will hear if it comes down without checking each week.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track Pokémon Center products? Yes, paste the product page. If the shop releases stock through a queue, you will need to join it on their site when the alert arrives.
What about other card games? The same approach works for One Piece, Lorcana and Magic.
Do pre-orders count as in stock? Yes. If a page opens for pre-order, we alert you.
How much does it cost? A flat one-off £5 per link, shown in your local currency. One-off fee. No subscription.
Should I track lots of shops? For popular sets, yes. Restocks happen at different times, so more pages mean more chances.
Summary
Watch the exact products at several shops, turn on fast notifications and be ready to check out. With alerts on the right pages, you can collect at retail price rather than paying resale premiums.
