Nintendo Switch 2 stock: bundles, special editions and how to catch restocks
How to find the Nintendo Switch 2 and its special editions in stock, what to track, and how to get instant alerts from any store worldwide.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has been one of the most sought-after consoles since launch. Standard consoles come and go with deliveries, while bundles and special editions can be much harder to get. If you are buying one for yourself or as a gift, alerts on the right pages make the difference.
Know what you want
The Switch 2 is sold in several ways:
- The standard console.
- Game bundles, which include a game for a set price.
- Special editions, like the Zelda 40th Anniversary edition, which tend to sell out fastest and may not restock.
Each normally has its own product page at each shop. Track the one you would actually buy, and consider tracking a second option.
Accessories and games
Some accessories and games have their own shortages:
- The Switch 2 Pro Controller is a common add-on that often goes out of stock.
- Big releases, such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, can sell out in physical form, especially special editions.
Where to look
The official Nintendo store sells direct in some countries. Large electronics retailers, games specialists, supermarkets and toy shops all carry the Switch 2 too. With Every Hot Launch, paste a product link from any store worldwide.
Setting up alerts
- Go to the shop's Switch 2 page for the version you want.
- Copy the link and paste it into our Switch 2 page or the homepage.
- Choose "Back in stock or price drops".
- Pay the one-off £5, shown in your local currency. One-off fee. No subscription.
- Connect Telegram or push from your manage page.
When restocks happen
- Mornings are common, as shops process deliveries.
- Around holidays and major game launches, shops may restock more often.
- Pre-orders for new bundles count as available, and we alert you when they open.
Price drops
Consoles rarely get large discounts, but bundles do sometimes, and shops occasionally add a game or credit. A price-drop alert on a bundle page with a target price will pick that up.
Be ready
- Log in to each shop in advance, with delivery and payment details saved.
- Check whether click and collect is available near you; it can be faster in December.
- Turn on notifications; our Telegram guide explains how.
Step by step: launch-day and holiday checklist
- Decide your version: standard, a bundle or a special edition.
- Choose a second option, for example a different bundle.
- Find the product pages at each shop you would buy from.
- Paste each link and choose "Back in stock or price drops".
- Connect Telegram or push, so you see alerts quickly.
- Log in to each shop, with your address and payment saved.
- When an alert arrives, check the version and seller before you pay.
Where to look
- Nintendo's own store, in the countries where it sells direct.
- Electronics retailers, which receive regular deliveries.
- Games specialists, which often have exclusive bundles.
- Supermarkets and toy shops, which can be quieter alternatives.
- Department stores, especially in the gift season.
- Shops in other countries: you can paste links from any store worldwide, but check region, warranty and plug.
What to watch for
- Switch vs Switch 2. Older Switch consoles are still on sale. Check the listing says Switch 2.
- Bundle contents. Some bundles include a download code rather than a physical game.
- Pre-owned consoles. Some shops sell pre-owned units on similar pages. Check condition.
- Marketplace sellers. High prices from third parties are a sign of resale.
- Special edition stock. Limited editions may not restock at all. Consider a standard console as a backup.
Price-drop alerts on bundles and accessories
Standard consoles rarely get big discounts, but bundles, games and accessories do. A price-drop alert on a bundle or the Pro Controller with a target price will tell you when the price reaches your number.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track the Zelda 40th Anniversary edition? Yes. Paste its product page from any shop that lists it, such as our Zelda 40th Anniversary suggestion.
Do pre-orders count? Yes. A page switching to pre-order counts as available.
How much is an alert? A flat one-off £5 per link, shown in your local currency. One-off fee. No subscription.
What about games? Track physical games, such as Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, the same way.
Can I buy as a gift and track delivery dates? We tell you about stock and price. Check the shop's delivery dates before you buy.
Buying a Switch 2 as a gift
If the console is a present, plan around the date it needs to arrive:
- Track early, so you have several weeks of restocks to catch.
- Prefer shops with click and collect near the holidays.
- Check gift receipts and returns, in case the recipient already has one.
- Consider accessories, like a case or the Pro Controller, which can also sell out in December.
If you are buying for a child, a Switch 2 bundle with a game included can be the simplest option, and a price-drop alert on a bundle page can catch seasonal offers.
Summary
Track the exact version you want at several shops, keep notifications on and be ready to buy. The next restock will reach you as soon as we see it.
